"Providing of warm meal in the municipality of Veliki Preslav"

The implementation of the project of establishing of a public soup kitchen that is to operate all year round is aimed at the most deprived persons in the municipality, the people at risk of poverty. The project is to be implemented in compliance with the requirements of the operational program and direct grant operation. Fifty representatives of the target group are to be identified after individual assessment. They are to be provided with warm meal, consisting of soup, main course and bread. Products are to be purchased by tenders in accordance with the national legislation. The food for the users of the public soup kitchen is to be prepared by the kitchen of the Social care service Veliki Preslav that has a long experience in giving similar social service. Users are to be provided with varied weekly menu and a balanced diet that meets the requirements for food safety and national standards and nutrition regulations. Municipality of Veliki Preslav disposes of adequate facilities and equipment for preparing food and for the process of feeding the people of the target group. For people having difficulties with their mobility the food is to be delivered to their homes. Throughout the whole project implementation period accompanying measures to persons from the target group are to be realized. The measures include informing and counseling about opportunities to use other social and administrative services, family budget management, healthy and balanced diet and other kinds of support, assistance, individual or group consultations, realized to meet the identified specific needs and problems of the representatives of the target groups. As a result of the project implementation fifty individuals from the municipality of Veliki Preslav are to be provided with warm meal for ten months. Their access to social services is to be improved. A decrease of poverty and social isolation is to be achieved.
