„Provision of hot lunch on the territory of the municipality of Razgrad”

The project proposal lays on the ground of proven efficiency and achieved wide public awareness and it aims at achieving better life quality through establishment of real conditions for overcoming the risk of starvation and malnutrition among the vulnerable communities which due to social economic problems are not able to meet their needs for food. At the same time the project supplements, follows up and expand the scope of the existing soup kitchen offering hot lunch in the periods when no national funding is provided. The services will be implemented in a separate soup kitchen by the municipal unit Home Social Patronage. The main activities will be implemented on the territory of town of Razgrad in the period 01.06.2016-31.12.2019. They will comprise of lunch provision including soup, main dish and bread for 50 persons f, as well as direct realization of supporting measures such as individual consultations on the opportunities for use of other social services provided in the municipality, administrative municipal services, consultations on healthy and balanced nutrition and other types of support according to the needs and problems of the users. Specific target groups: 2 persons receiving specialized social assistance; 9 persons with proven lack of incomes and relatives; 26 lonely persons and families getting minimal pensions; 13 wandering and homeless persons. Project activities: defining target groups; purchase of food products; lunch provision and supporting measures. To raise public awareness on project objectives and activities, FEAD and EU contribution, publications will be made in the local media and the website of Razgrad Municipality. Expected results: achievement of durable social effect, better quality of life and social inclusion for 50 persons.
