"Providing a hot lunch to people from vulnerable groups in the municipality of Ardino"

This project proposal covers the measures taken to reduce the residents living in poverty - adults living alone and people with disabilities who are unable to care for themselves. Providing hot food, in this case lunch, is aims to meet the needs of people for food who can not secure it alone. Ardino municipality is located in the southwestern region of Kardzhali with an area of 388.8 km2, 52 settlements covering 39 municipalities with a total population of 13,897 people. The unemployment rate as of 30.04.2016 is 22% of the economically active population. The analysis of demographic processes on the territory of the municipality shows that the number of people who are in vulnerable groups is significant. According to the directorate "Social support" Ardino, the number of persons in the municipality falling into this category, related to the regulations is 285. The analysis of the needs of social services demonstrates the need for assistance for vulnerable families by providing a hot lunch. Ardino municipality plans to provide hot meals to 150 users in the municipality. Organization for providing hot lunch will take place in the food unit to "Day Centre for adults with disabilities" and "Sheltered housing for people with mental retardation" in Ardino city, municipality of Ardino, Street "Chinara" №4, which meets the needs and goals of the project. The implementation of this project will help and support 150 users of social service in the municipality for 8 months. And henceforth Ardino municipality would be open to partnering with all social projects submitted by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy implemented under the operational European projects and programs, aimed at the most vulnerable groups in society, namely disadvantaged people and to give a chance for better quality of life as users of social service and their families.
