Provision of hot lunch in Rakovski Municipality

The goal of the current project is the provision of hot lunch for people and families living alone and people in financial trouble residing in Rakovski Municipality. The project activities will upgrade and expand the range of the active "Social Patronage" and the principle of no double funding and activities will be respected. A team formed by municipal officers will define the target groups - beneficiaries of the project based on lists provided by Social Assistance Directorate and on a specific selection mechanism. The following two activities - purchase of food and provision of hot lunch will be assigned to an executor according to Public Procurement Law. The prepared food will be delivered to a material and technical foundation, registered according to article 12 of Food Law and distributed to the consumers, a transport services will be provided for disabled people. Rakovski Municipality will observe the hole process of food preparation following the national regulations for food safety and the principle of balanced diet. The project activities are set to start at 15th of July 2016 and will include 130 consumers from all the towns and villages of the municipality and will be continue seventeen months for up to 42 working days. Monthly consultations are set to be provided by specialist dietitian concerning healthy and balanced diet to the target group for the entire duration of the project.
