Provision of Hot Meals in Gabrovo Municipality 2016 - 2020

The current project proposal encompasses the provision of "Soup-kitchen" social service in Gabrovo Municipality in the period 01/08/2016 - 30/04/2020. The service will be delivered on a daily basis for 273 days to 125 people up to 30/04/2017 and for 1096 days for 180 people from 01/05/2017, and 200 people from 01/04/2018 to 30/04/2020, part of various risk groups, namely: - people and families who receive monthly social assistance according to art. 9 of the implementing regulation of the Law on social assistance; - people with proved lack of incomes and relatives to take care for them, which must be established as fact by Social Assistance Department - Gabrovo; - people who live alone and families who receive the pension floor - insurance/age/disability/inherited/professional pensions; - wanderers and homeless people. The service will be provided according to the rules for balanced feeding and the requirements for food safety of the national food standards. In case of people with walking difficulties who cannot receive the hot meal in person or with the help of other people, there will be secured a method for food delivering to the home of the disabled people. The service will be provided by a contractor, already chosen by Gabrovo Municipilaty according to the Law on public procurement. Together they will organise and execute measures for delivery of unreceived hot meals. As an addition to the main activity, concomitant measures will be carried out, including support, assistance, individual and group consulting, responding to the established needs of the target groups. The realisation of the project activities will contribute to improvement of quality of life and satisfaction of the need for food of people who cannot manage by themselves. At the same time, the provision of help and support among the target groups through the concomitant measures will also stimulate their socialisation and community integration.
