Provision of warm lunch in Pavlikeni municipality

Through the current project proposal a public soup-kitchen will be found on the territory of Pavlikeni municipality that will provide warm lunch for people who live in poverty and it aims to combat basic material deprivation. The soup-kitchen will be realized with Pavlikeni municipality resource and the food will be prepared by the Home Care unit. It is envisaged warm lunch meals to be provided mainly for lonely-living people and families who receive low pensions and cannot subsist on their own. People from a few different settlements representing this social group will be enabled to receive warm lunch after lists of people in such need have been constituted by Social Assistance Directorate and selection procedure has been implemented by a committee. The main activities that will be realized are: definition of target groups, buying foodstuffs, provision of warm lunch meals and subsidiary measures as well. During the project implementation, Pavlikeni municipality will guarantee the following provisions: a varied weekly menu, transparency of the purchase of food items, avoiding their wastage and keeping the hygiene norms and standards during food preparation and delivery.
