Providing a hot lunch in Byala 2016

The realization of this project through the functioning a public kitchen is targeted to needy persons at risk of poverty in the municipality of Byala. The project will be implemented in accordance with the requirements of the operational program and operation of direct grant aid. Selection will be made of 100 users from the target groups and will provide a hot lunch consisting of: soup, main dish, bread and when it is posibe dessert. The products will be bought after public tender, in accordance with national legislation. Food for users of public dining will be cooked in the canteen of the School "Vasil Levski" - Byala, which has long experience in providing similar social service. The users will be provided whith a varied weekly menu which will provide balanced nutrition, subject to the requirements for food safety and national standards and norms for food. For the provision of hot meals for those target groups municipality has adequate facilities and equipment for food preparation and transport. Throughout the period of the service, measures will be taken either individualy or via group conselling to inform and advice consumers on the availability of social and administrative services for healthy and balanced diet, and other forms of support and assistance in respons to any specific needs and problems that have been identified. As a result of the project 100 people from the Municipality of Byala will receive a hot lunch for 24 months, will have access to social services and this will contribute to reducing poverty and social exclusion.
