Providing hot lunch for the citizens of Minicipality of Kameno

This project proposal is directed to an effective development of the social services system at the municipality of Kameno. The aim is to improve the living conditions and the complete realization of persons and children at risk, to improve the quality of life and the opportunities for social inclusion of vulnerable groups inside the community. The basic demographic issues outlined in the municipality of Kameno are directly related to the social policy and the social services system as well as to the population`s needs of such services. The analysis of the socio-demographic and of the economic pattern of the municipality of Kameno reveals factors which, in combination with others, create the risk of individuals` social exclusion, form risk groups of disadvantaged children, persons, families and old people in need of support and social services. Such factors are the level of poverty and incomes – a persistent lack of properties and permanent incomes, unemployment, low pensions and insufficient incomes of persons at age above the working one; the family`s structure - complete or incomplete family, large families, health and educational problems; isolation from the family environment and lack of support from the family - children and lonely old people accommodated in specialized institutions, etc. The deteriorated social and health status of many families leads to an alarming increase in the number of disadvantaged individuals. The implementation of the main activities under this project will satisfy the needs of food for people which can not ensure it by themselves. The resolution of social problems is a priority for the policy of the municipality of Kameno. The implementation of the main activity in the project proposal - providing hot lunch is an effective way to solve the outlined problems and to overcome the social exclusion of the main target group.
