Provision of a cooked lunch in Omurtag

Under this project the municipality of Omurtag has proposed the implementation of activities related to the submission of the Public Dining social service through provision of lunch food, such as a soup, main course and bread, all to the aim of improvement of life quality and support to the following target groups: - Persons and families on monthly support as per the rules and conditions of article 9 of the Regulation on the Implementation of the Law on Social Support; - Persons with evidenced lack of income and close relatives to take care of them, which is proved by the Social Support Office; - Lonely persons and families living on the minimum retirement pension based on their social security length of service and age, hereditary pension, disability, or pension related to non-labour reasons. Any cooked lunch which has not been received by the prospective beneficiary and conforms to storage terms and conditions will be distributed among the members of the additional target group identified in the requirements for application to the Provision of Cooked Lunch Operation. The project is to be carried out on the territory of the town of Omurtag involving 70 beneficiaries -30.04.2017 at 80 - 01.05.2017. The beneficiaries are to be selected by a commission with a representative of the Social Support Office. Throughout the implementation period of the activity related to the provision of a cooked lunch there will be carried out a number of additional measures in the form of activities complementing food distribution with a view to reducing potential social exclusion and / or coping with extraordinary social situations resulting from breaches in the emancipated and sustainable manner of living; such measures will involve counseling, submission of information matter about major social rights and re-direction to other services, individual and group counseling on family budget management, guidelines about the preparation and adoption of a balanced diet, etc.
