Hot lunch for the most indigent population in Rhodope Municipality

This project proposal aims at providing support to the most deprived population living in Rhodope Municipality through provision of hot lunch.The implementation of the project will include people from the target groups, which are regulated by Regulation RD07-01/4.4.16 of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy-Art.5, para1 and2 and the subsequent amendments to the Regulation published in SG No.100 of 15.12.17.130 people will take part and 6 villages from the municipality will be included in the project,namely: Yagodovo,Branipole,Parvenets,Markovo,Ustina,Tsalapitsa.The interest to the service shown in these villages is highest, according to preliminary study information.The project proposal will be fulfilled by the administration of the Rhodope Municipality for a period of 12 months-from 2.5.18 to 29.02.2020.The implementation of this project is a part of the result-oriented social policy that the municipality develops in support of individuals and families.The implementation of two of two of the project’s activities-purchasing of food products and provision of hot lunch is covered by Annex2 of the PPA.Pursuant to Article20, paragraph4, item2 of the Act,the conclusion of a direct contract with a contractor is envisaged.Due to the unsatisfactory health status of the population and their advanced age,it is expected that the food will be delivered to their houses in the respective village.This will help to ensure that the lunch is regularly received and responds adequately to the needs of individuals.The main activities of the project will be complemented by awareness and publicity measures,which will ensure transparency and knowledge of the target groups.Throughout the period of the project’s implementation, there will be accompanying measures-which include individual counseling and assistance for administrative and social services;focusing on health and education services;and the implementation of other forms of supp and assistance to the hot lunch service users.
