Hot lunch in a pandemic from COVID-19 in the municipality of Vetovo

The project "Hot lunch in a pandemic of COVID-19 in the municipality of Vetovo" is aimed at providing support to meet the basic food needs of the most deprived persons during the situation related to the spread of COVID-19. This project will upgrade and expand the scope of the current project "Targeted support with hot lunch in the municipality of Vetovo" funded by the Social Protection Fund, which provides hot lunch to 170 vulnerable citizens and ends on 31.12.2020. In the current crisis situation, due to the introduced epidemic measures to limit the spread of the virus, the number of people who can not provide their own food is growing and the municipality has a strong need to increase the number of consumers. To identify the most needy people in the municipality, all sources of information will be used and assistance will be sought from the Social Assistance Directorate Vetovo. Under the project, two dining rooms will be opened in the Home Social Patronage in Vetovo and in the Home Social Patronage in Senovo, which will prepare a hot lunch for a total of 200 people. Preparation and delivery of hot lunch - catering through a selected contractor will feed 700 people from all settlements in the municipality of Vetovo.For the period from 28.04.2021 to 31.05.2021 a contract has been concluded with a contractor to feed all persons under the project - 900 users. The prepared lunches will be packaged in disposable containers and will be delivered by specialized vehicles of the municipality. In addition to the distribution of food, accompanying measures will be offered in order to reduce social exclusion and / or deal with social emergencies in an emancipatory and sustainable way.
