"Hot lunch in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality of Djebel"

The current situation regarding the spread of COVID-19 and its economic and social effects on various public sectors has put social protection systems to the test. In the context of the pandemic emergency, the provision of a hot lunch has proved to be a significant aid, as it provides a real opportunity for the poorest and most vulnerable people to continue to have food, on the one hand, and on the other. they also receive it at home when anti-epidemic measures require it. In addition to food shortages due to deepening poverty, in the face of emergency anti-epidemic measures, the most deprived have limited access to food. Vulnerable groups are exposed to particular risks and additional difficulties during the crisis due to the emergency measures introduced to limit the spread of the virus. This project proposal aims to provide support for the most vulnerable groups of the population by providing food aid in the form of a hot lunch as a social service in the community. It is planned to prepare and deliver a hot lunch (including soup, main course, bread and at least once a week dessert) on the territory of the Municipality of Djebel to 750 people from the eligible target group within 81 working days. The project proposal will be implemented by assigning under the Public procurement law, by the Municipality of Djebel the service of preparing and providing hot lunch to a social provider - contractor. The contractor will be responsible for the overall implementation of the social service. The main activities of the project will be complemented by information and publicity measures, ensuring maximum transparency and proper awareness of the target groups and stakeholders, as well as "accompanying measures", including approaches for providing advice and assistance on complementary and relevant needs. of the target groups of alternative social services in the community.
