Providing a hot lunch on the territory of the municipality of Perushtitsa in the conditions of a pandemic by COVID - 19

he aim of the project proposal is to reduce the number of people living in poverty by providing food for the people most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences by providing a hot lunch to people from the target groups: people without income or with low incomes below the poverty line - people in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation, people who, due to their age and available disabilities, are at higher risk of infection and adverse infection; persons placed under quarantine - without income or with low income below the poverty line and have no relatives to support them and persons subject to social assistance, for whom the need for additional support has been identified and in the conditions of an emergency epidemic situation, are in inability to meet their basic living needs. The provision of hot lunch is planned to start from 01.01.2021, and will cover up to 100 users from the municipality within 4 months until 27.04.2021 and on working days of the months. From a team determined by an order of the mayor and written rules for selection and information from D "SP" Stamboliyski, the Selection Commission will determine the users. For the purchase of food products and the provision of hot lunch, a direct assignment of a contractor is envisaged in accordance with the Public Procurement Act. The prepared food will be delivered to the homes of consumers. The provided hot lunch will be prepared under the direct control of the Municipality of Perushtitsa and in compliance with the requirements for food safety, national standards and norms of nutrition and the requirement to contribute to a balanced diet. As accompanying measures, daily consultations will be held on opportunities for use of other social services, use of administrative municipal services and support in case of needs and problems of representatives of the target group by an employee with experience in a previous hot lunch project and will be implemented throughout period.
