Providing a hot lunch in the Municipality of Belene in the conditions of a pandemic of COVID-19

In an pandemic situation, providing a hot lunch is a significant help, because on the one hand the poorest and most vulnerable people will continue to receive food and on the other hand they will receive it at home when anti-epidemic measures require it. . With this project the Municipality of Belene aims to open the service "hot lunch" for 80 users from vulnerable groups in a pandemic, for 9 months, in working days (a total of 186 working days). The persons the following criteria: 1. Persons without income or with low income below the poverty line people in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country, people who due to their age or disability are at higher risk of infection and adverse course of infection; 2. Persons placed in quarantine - without income or with low income below the poverty line and have no relatives to support them; 3. Persons subject to social assistance, for whom the need for additional support has been identified and in the conditions of an emergency epidemic situation, are unable to satisfy their basic living needs. The project is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and provides support to meet the basic food needs of vulnerable groups in the Municipality of Belene, who need social protection to the highest degree. Measures related to the application of horizontal principles: 1. Sound financial management, publicity and transparency: to ensure the principles of economy (appropriate quantity, quality and best price, efficiency (resources used and results achieved), efficiency (actions taken for objectives achieved); 2. Gender equality and non-discrimination: equality between men and women, non-discrimination based on sex, racial and ethnic origin, religion, religion, disability, sexual orientation, politics, etc .; 3. Partnership; 4. Environmental influence of the climate when buying food, in order to reduce their waste; 5. Balanced diet - providing healthy, quality and varied food for consumers.
