Provision of Hot Meals in Gabrovo Municipality 2021 - 2022

The project proposal envisages Gabrovo Municipality to provide the service "Hot Meals" from 01.01.2021 until 27.04.2021. Every working day, within 81 working days, a hot lunch will be provided to 230 people from different risk groups, namely: - Persons without income or low income below the poverty line; - People in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country, people who due to their age or disability are at higher risk of infection and adverse infection; - Quarantined persons - without income or with a low income below the poverty line with no relatives to support them - Persons subject to social assistance and the need for additional support in conditions of an emergency epidemic situation, and who are unable to meet their basic living needs. The organization, administration, management, and reporting of the project are assigned, by the Order of the Mayor of Gabrovo Municipality, and the Institutions for social services - secondary spending unit. The service will be provided in compliance with the principles of balanced nutrition and food safety requirements and nutrition standards, as well as in compliance with all measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Gabrovo Municipality will ensure the delivery of the food to the home of each consumer. In case the epidemiological situation ends, the points for receiving the hot lunch will be opened. For the period until 27.04.2021, the service for preparation of a hot lunch is based on a concluded contract. A procedure for the selection of a contractor for the activity has been already announced after 27.04.2021. Implementation of the activities will contribute to improving the quality of life and the food needs of people who cannot provide it for themselves.
