3-1 - Warm lunch in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kaolinovo Municipality

With this project proposal, Kaolinovo Municipality plans within 166 working days to provide balanced and healthy nutrition to a total of 480 people living in poverty and most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality. Main target group: 1. People without income or with low income below the poverty line - people in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country, who due to their age or disability are at a higher risk of infection and an adverse course of the infection. 2. People placed under quarantine - without income or with low income below the poverty line and have no relatives to support them. 3. People subject to social assistance, for whom the need for additional support has been identified and in the conditions of an emergency epidemic situation, are unable to satisfy their basic living needs; The service is planned to start from 01.01.2021 to 31.08.2021, covering 17 settlements. A team formed by an order of the mayor to determine the main target groups is envisaged - on the basis of lists received from Social Assistance Directorate Kaolinovo and a pre-prepared selection mechanism. The delivery of hot lunch will be done by a registered supplier, according to Article 12 of the Food Act to the points in settlements. The food will be packed in disposable containers. The distribution of the food will take place after signing a contract and after the consumers have signed in pre-prepared lists. In cases where the health condition of the consumer makes it difficult to receive food on a daily basis, it will be provided to the home of consumers by non-teaching staff in kindergartens in strict compliance with the introduced measures for social isolation and use of personal protective equipment. Then, when receiving food, consumers sign the Consumer Diary. Feedback forms will be used. The implementation of accompanying measures is also planned.
