"Warm lunch initiative in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality of Kresna"

The project is part of the purposeful social policy that the municipality develops in support of people living in deprivation and at risk of social isolation. The municipality is committed and responsible to ensure the provision of a diverse weekly menu to offer a balanced and healthy diet for the target group - fully in compliance with all food safety requirements and national nutrition standards and norms. "Warm lunch in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality of Kresna" will be arranged for 130 users from the town of Kresna, the village of Gorna Breznitsa, the village of Dolna Gradeshnitsa, the village of Slivnitsa, the village of Stara Kresna, and the village of Oshtava. The food preparation will take place in the kitchen unit of DSP Kresna. On weekdays the menu will consist of some soup, main course, bread and at least once a week some dessert will be added. All the food will be prepared and delivered daily to the consumers' homes if and when needed. The delivery of the warm lunch will be done with cars that are registered in OBDH Blagoevgrad specifically for food transportation, while the employees delivering the food will be equipped with the necessary protective clothing, masks and gloves. The consumers will be accordingly instructed as per their individual needs and will be supported with additional measures such as individual consulting and assistance with: - Using any of the other social services made available on the territory of the municipality, including those financed by the ESF; - Benefiting from any of the administrative municipal services, getting access to health and educational services, managing the family budget, proper healthy and balanced nutrition, or advice on any queries about the requirements related to the introduced anti-pandemic measures, etc. - Any other kind of support, individual or group consulting, driven by specific need in response to particular problems raised by representatives of the target groups
