Hot lunch in the conditions of the pandemic of COVID-19 in the municipality of Tundzha

The essence of the present project proposal is to guarantee equal access to provision of ready food (hot lunch) for disadvantaged persons and families living on the territory of the 44 rural settlements in Tundzha Municipality in response to a pandemic situation from COVID-19. Under the current operation, the project aims to cover individuals and families at risk of social exclusion living in rural settlements remote from the district town, who need social support to meet basic food needs by providing a hot lunch at home. The project complements, upgrades and expands the scope of the current targeted program to support public canteens, financed from the state budget through the Social Protection Fund and other social measures to overcome the consequences of the crisis with a focus on the most deprived. The planned activities will involve a total of at least 700 people - vulnerable citizens who, due to poverty and / or prolonged social exclusion, in a crisis resulting from the spread of COVID-19 find it difficult to provide for themselves, living in small settlements of rural type, on the territory of "Tundzha" Municipality.
