3.1 Warm lunch in the conditions of the pandemic of COVID - 19 in the Municipality of Tvarditsa.

In the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic, the Warm Lunch Programme in the Municipality of Tvarditsa aims to provide food to people who require social assistance of highest degree. This operation is a continuation of “The Warm Lunch at Home Programme in the conditions of emergency situation 2020”, which is funded by the Bulgarian national budget to handle the consequences of the emerged COVID-19 epidemic and helping the most deprived. Warm lunch will be provided every working day to nearly 850 people of the target groups on the territory of Tvarditsa Municipality. Group belongingness of each individual will be determined by Tvarditsa Social Assistance Directorate. Warm lunch will be given at particular stations in the towns and villages of the Municipality. The contractor who will provide the food will be determined following the Public Procurement Act. Within the project, in addition to the provision of food, accompanying measures will be proposed in accordance with the anti-epidemic measures and the specific needs of the people in these conditions as individual counseling on the possibilities for using other social services provided in the municipality, including those funded by the ESF; to support access to health services, counseling on healthy and balanced nutrition, counseling on the requirements related to the introduced anti-epidemic measures, etc., as well as individual support in response to specific identified needs and problems of the target groups in order to overcome the consequences from the prolonged social isolation.
