3-1 - Hot lunch in the conditions of the pandemic of COVID-19 in the municipality of Simeonovgrad

The purpose of this project proposal is to prepare and, if necessary, deliver to home a hot lunch for vulnerable citizens of Simeonovgrad municipality, who due to poverty and prolonged social isolation, in a crisis resulting from the spread of COVID-19 are difficult to provide for themselves complementing and expanding national measures to address the effects of the crisis with a focus on the most deprived. A public canteen will be established for the municipality of Simeonovgrad and points will be opened for distribution of hot lunch in disposable containers in the settlements of the municipality. The service will be provided by a contractor for the preparation and delivery of ready meals, selected in accordance with the Public Procurement Act. According to the official response of the Director of the Social Assistance Directorate, 560 people who meet the conditions for receiving a hot lunch from the main group. The preparation of a hot lunch will be done by a contractor who will pack the prepared food in disposable containers and will transport them in specialized vehicles to each point in the municipality. The distribution of the food is carried out from 11 am to 12 am after signing by the users in pre-prepared lists with their personal data, except for the quarantined persons, for whom there will be individual diaries for signature. Feedback forms will also be prepared and made available to users. In addition to the distribution of food, accompanying measures will be offered in order to reduce social exclusion and / or deal with social emergencies in an emancipatory and sustainable way by advising and assisting in the use of social and / or administrative services to support access to health and education services, for family budget management, for healthy and balanced nutrition, as well as for counseling in response to identified specific needs and problems of consumers.
