Hot lunch in Sofia Municipality - Area Novi Iskar in the conditions of the pandemic of COVID-19

With the implementation of this project proposal, the Municipality of Novi Iskar will continue to provide social support to people in dire need of the region, who due to poverty and prolonged social isolation, in conditions of the restrictions imposed due to the spread of KOVID 19 are in difficulty and the inability to provide for themselves. In a crisis situation, the provision of a hot lunch has proved to be a significant help, as it provides a real opportunity for the poorest and most vulnerable people / people with incomes below the poverty line; single adults; Disabled; people placed under mandatory quarantine; people left without a home, work and income, etc./ to continue to have food and receive it in their home. To meet the objectives of the project, it is envisaged that within six months, every working day of the month, 140 people in need will receive ready meals - "hot lunch" in a dining room, and if necessary, food will be delivered to consumers' homes. The food will be prepared by a pre-selected supplier, will be distributed in portions and will be distributed to the eligible in a dining room. If necessary, it will be distributed in individual portions in disposable boxes and will be delivered to the homes of consumers. All activities will be carried out in strict compliance with all sanitary and hygienic requirements and introduced anti-epidemic measures. During the implementation period of the project it is planned to offer accompanying measures, which will also be in accordance with the anti-epidemic measures and with the specific needs of the people in these conditions. The total duration of the project will be 6 months, and the provision of the service itself will be within 5 months.
