In connection with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Municipality of Tsenovo identified the need for additional support for persons who are unable to meet their basic living needs. Due to the restrictive measures introduced and the economic consequences of the pandemic, deepening poverty is observed. In the conditions of the introduced anti-epidemic measures, the most needy people have difficulties in meeting their daily needs for food products. Vulnerable groups are exposed to particular risks and additional difficulties during the crisis due to the emergency measures introduced to limit the spread of the virus. The range of support will include people who need social protection to the highest degree. The hot lunch will include soup, main course, bread and at least once a week dessert. A varied weekly menu will be provided to ensure a balanced diet for service users, in compliance with food safety requirements and national nutrition standards and norms.
