"Hot lunch in the conditions of the pandemic of COVID-19 in the Municipality of Svilengrad"

The project proposal is a supplement to the social policy of the Municipality of Svilengrad aimed at supporting people in need, living in material deprivation and risk of social isolation, who find it difficult to provide for themselves. The project envisages providing a hot lunch for 500 such persons. The food will be prepared and delivered by an external contractor on the territory of Svilengrad Municipality. The food will be provided daily from the day of finalizing the agreement with the contractor until 30.09.2021 at points announced in advance by the contractor. For people who are quarantined or have difficulty moving, food will be delivered to their homes in compliance with all safety and hygiene measures. The project proposal is aimed at the following target groups: 1. Pople without income or with low income below the poverty line - people in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation in the country, who due to their age or complicated health condition are at greater risk of infection or life-threatening course of infection; 2. Quarantined people who are without or with low income and have no relatives to support them; 3. People who receive social assistance, but for whom the need for additional support has been established in the conditions of the emergency epidemic situation and are in difficulty or inability to satisfy their basic living needs; The main activities of the project are: Defining the target group; Preparation of a hot lunch; Providing hot lunch and Implementing accompanying measures. During the implementation of the project, measures related to informing and publicity of the support from the Fund will be taken.
