Hot lunch for the municipality of Perushtitsa in the conditions of a pandemic by COVID - 19

The aim of the project proposal is to reduce the number of people living in poverty by providing food for the people most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences by providing a hot lunch to people from the target groups: people without income or low-income people below the poverty line - people in difficulty due to the deteriorating economic situation, people who, due to their age and disability, are at higher risk of infection and infection; quarantined persons - without income or with low income below the poverty line and have no relatives to support them and persons subject to social assistance, for whom the need for additional support has been identified and in the conditions of an emergency epidemic situation, are unable to meet their basic living needs. TThe provision of hot lunch is planned to start from 01.06.2022, and will cover up to 80 users from the municipality within 4 months until 30.09.2022 and on working days of the month. From a team determined by an order of the mayor and written rules for selection and information from D "SP" Stamboliyski, the Selection Commission will determine the users. For the purchase of food products and the provision of hot lunch, a direct assignment of a contractor is envisaged in accordance with the Public Procurement Act. Ready-made food for most consumers will be delivered to their homes. The provided hot lunch will be prepared under the direct control of the Municipality of Perushtitsa and in compliance with the requirements for food safety, national standards and norms of nutrition and the requirement to contribute to a balanced diet. As accompanying measures, daily consultations will be held on opportunities to use other social services, use of administrative municipal services and support in case of needs and problems of representatives of the target group of employees with experience in previous projects of Perushtitsa municipality.
