Creation and development of "Heritage BG" Centre of Excellence

The project proposal is related to strengthening the infrastructure necessary for research and innovation at an advanced level which encourages increasing the capacity for excellence in thematic areas that are of interest to our country and to the EU. It addresses the following target groups: researchers, entrepreneurs, innovators, educators, graduate students, post-graduate students, young scholars, researchers, school students. The project proposal aims: - Investment in new up-to-date research infrastructure and equipment to improve cooperation between leading scientific organizations and businesses to achieve a higher quality of personnel training in modern technologies, participation of Bulgarian scientific teams in European networks for the development of new technologies, an increased interest in a research career; - Enhancing the innovation capacity through market orientation of research; - Effective investment in Ramp;D, innovation and excellence in Component 4 "New Technologies for creative and recreation industries". The expected outcome is the realization of excellence and development of market-oriented research by leading scientific organizations in Bulgaria, contributing to: - overcoming the country’s lagging behind in comparison to the leading scientific centers at a EU and a global level; - integration of Bulgarian scientific organizations in ERA; - building sustainable partnerships with leading European universities and institutes; - enhancing the "science-business" link. The aims and outcomes will be achieved through the following activities: A) Construction and equipment of new research infrastructure; B) Conducting research and development activities; B) Dissemination of research results and knowledge transfer; D) Business activities of a limited scope; D) Activities specific to the project (management).
