Modern Palaeoslavic and Medieval Studies

The project Modern Palaeoslavic and Medieval Studies (MPM) aims at solving concrete research problems in the selected area of intervention applying the digital tools and using the online databases, that were created under several previous projects, funded by OP HRD. During the real research activities the representatives of the target groups acquire skills for using the digital tools and actively take part in their further improvement and fine tuning as well as in the expanding of the existing electronic databases. The concrete practical training of students on different levels (Master, PhD, Postdoctoral), interns and young scholars is supported by regular consultations with renown researchers from Bulgaria and abroad, regular seminars for exchanging research experience, short-term mobility for solving concrete research problems as well as specialized training seminars on different topics. The project participants take part in the elaboration of highly innovative research products such as terminological dictionary of Old Church Slavonic, dictionary of the language of Patriarch Euthymius, derivative dictionary, thus contributing to the development of Medieval and Palaeoslavic Studies in both our country and abroad. The electronic format of these products will enable their constant upgrading and fine tuning for the years to come. The active involvement of the target group representatives in elaborating the envisaged products will improve significantly their research skills and extend their qualification.
