Support for the development of capacity of doctoral students and young researchers in the field of engineering, natural and mathematical sciences

This project is aimed at enhancing the skills and practical experience and stimulating the interest in research and development in the field of engineering, natural and mathematical sciences of young researchers from the Department of physics-mathematical and technical sciences(DPMTS) at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM). The project envisages creation of favorable conditions for research and development and career advancement in the science sector through: organizing training in specific areas of engineering; promoting mobility for the implementation of research tasks; support the dissemination of research results and development of research teams; strengthening the applied nature of research and links with industry; development of partnership networks between Bulgarian and foreign scientists; attracting foreign scientists and specialists from the engineering practice as mentors of young researchers. Project activities are aimed at the following target groups: students with a keen interest in research in the scientific areas of DPMTS; doctoral students and young scientists studying or training students in engineering sciences, as well as teachers engaged in their training. The involvement of representatives of target groups in project activities will lead to increased interest and high capacity for carrier development from students to professors and researchers in engineering sciences. The project activities are focused on creating favorable conditions for involvement of young doctoral students in research and for advancement of skills and knowledge of the researchers.
