Modernization, digitalization and internationalization of education at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy

The project aims to modernize and increase the quality of education in the field of 5.10 Chemical Technologies at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, through a model of partnership and interaction with other universities. The leading approach in achieving this goal will be the introduction of a competency model, multidisciplinarity, and interdisciplinarity in the education of students, including through the application of digital educational technologies. The project activities will be implemented in partnership with Southwestern University "Neofit Rilski", Blagoevgrad and the University "Prof. Asen Zlatarov ”- Burgas and Associated project partners are: - The University of Alabama at Huntsville - The University of Ljubljana, Slovenia - Technical University of Prague, Czech Republic The main activities that will be implemented under the project are: Development and implementation of a joint bachelor's program in Green Technology. Jointly between UCTM and BU; - Development and implementation of a joint new master's program in "Innovative technologies for Renewable Energy Systems" - a hybrid between the two areas: 5.10 Chemical technologies and 4.2. Chemical sciences, a joint between UCTM and SWU. - Implement a joint master's program in English with the University of Alabama in "Chemical and Environmental Engineering" - Development and implementation of digital educational content. - Training of teachers in digital competencies and English. - Short-term specializations and outbound mobility in the associated partners. - Activities for career counseling and orientation of students. - Training of students in entrepreneurial skills, presentation skills, and digital creativity. - Attracting foreign teachers for incoming teaching mobility, etc. Project duration: 30 months.
