Modernization of the higher schools: Technical University - Varna, Technical University - Sofia, Technical University - Gabrovo and University "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov", Burgas

The project proposal envisages improving the quality of the higher education service of the applicant: TU - Varna and the partners TU - Sofia, TU - Gabrovo and UAZ in professional direction 5.2. Electrotechnics, electronics and automation, based on a common Intelligent Systems frame. The planned activities include: 1. Elaboration of new curricula: 1.1. Intelligent transport systems- Bachelor degree; 1.2. Smart Cities- Master degree; 1.3.Intelligent production of electricity- Master degree; 1.4.Intelligent systems for home, office and medicine -Master degree. 1.5. New programs in foreign language, based directly on the a.m. in p. 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. - 3 pcs. 1.6. New curricula with digital content - 2 pcs. 2. Acquisition of ICT and software for digitizing and virtualizing the education process. 3. Professional development of academic staff based on improvement of skills for use of ICT-based educational technologies through specialized training for language and digital skills, short-term mobility in foreign partners. 3. Mobility, soft skills training, career guidance, as well as the development of a system for alumni career track and a common information network of career centres. The introduction of competency model, multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity will provide for modernization and better quality of education, as well as improved access to higher education. The foreign language curricula will add to the universities internationalization and the courses' international validity. This will improve the cooperation between the education sector and the business by ensuring a dynamic match between the supply and demand in the intelligent systems field. The total value of the project is BGN 1,999,821.12, financed under the "no aid" regime, for a period of 30 months.
