Equal Start - Successful Students

The current project proposal aims to offer a good preschool for the children of ethnic origin, living in "GornoEzerovo" district, Burgas, which will ensure their equal start in school and a successful educational integration. Our experience so far shows that the effort made into raising children in early age will later lead to a better school performance. We also believe that the project initiatives will contribute the children in forming their personality and their integration in the family and society. Thescheduled activities will be executed in 30 monthsas the most essential of them would be:additional courses in Bulgarian language forthe ethnic communities’ children (2 events per day during the academic year plus 4 events during the holidays), providing psychological support forthe children with intellectual disability, behavioral or emotional problems.Along with the educational activities,an establishment and operation of eight interest clubs will develop individual qualities of the children - sport and tourism, music and dance, mathematics, fine arts, expandingthe children knowledge in areas such as health and civic education, tourism.To help students expand their cultural horizons, we have planned: an annual summer camp, Puppet Theater visits twice a year, some one-day trips (one in the spring and one in the autumn) and a final event - Festival of Ethnic Groups.Focusing on parents otherwise, we have planned some specialized training classes. The accent of the project is working with the community whose aim is to increase the ethnic tolerance values in the neighborhood residents. We have also planned variety of festivities, happenings, celebrations of religious and national holidays of the three ethnic groups.
