Equal start for the children of Momchilgrad municipality by improving the early childhood education and care

The project proposal aims to improve the conditions for equal access to education and training of children from ethnic minorities in Momchilgrad minicipality and their successful early socialization and personal fulfillment. In the long term goal the project shall introduce successful model of integration of children belonging from marginalized and excluded groups in the early childhood educational system. Planned activities: Project management; Working with parents from ethnic minorities who stoped their children to regularly attending the pre-school class in kindergarten; "Small school - great start"; Improving the educational environment; Additional Bulgarian language training for children for whom the Bulgarian language is not native; Orhanizising of creative workshops for preserving and developing the cultural identity; Multicultural exchange; Encouraging the participation of parents in the educational process; Information and publicity. The project aims at achieving the following results: • Improved educational environment in kindergartens by introducing training in social skills, creating conditions for active sport for children and delivery of innovative educational products, equipment and tools meet the modern trends in education • Provided conditions for successful social inclusion and integration of children from ethnic minorities • Created preconditions for overcoming the verbal difficulties in early childhood • Encouraged the participation of children and parents in the educational process • Increased motivation of ethnic minority parents to enroll their children in kindergarten at an early age, and do not hinder their children regularly attending the pre-school class in kindergarten • Increased awareness of the target groups on the role of education in the overall process of successful growth of the children The duration of the project is 24 months The total project cost is 499 986 BGN
