Ready to succeed

The project is about overcoming the problem of integrating into the education system of children from ethnic minority groups - a process, which is particularly noticeable in small towns. The measures will be aimed at tackling exclusion of these children from their peers, prevent early dropping out and subsequent exclusion from the labor market. Through the implementation of the project activities preconditions to change public stereotypes towards Roma minority and atmosphere of interethnic tolerance, mutual respect and tolerance will be created. This project proposal addresses the above problems in Bratya Daskalovi Municipality through the following activities: analysis of the attitude among the target group; analysis of the causes of the problem; expectations among children and their parents on measures to address the issue will be formulated. Groups based on the interests of the children will be created within the kindergarten, as the children will be included in the most appropriate group and / or in additional training in Bulgarian language. Organizing them outside of school hours will keep children longer in the educational system and will increase their desire to learn and attend classes in the future. In order to motivate parents and their active and conscious involvement in teaching discussion meetings are provided in the form of "school for parents". It is planned to conduct the evenings of talents. During the evenings students will demonstrate what they have learned in the groups. The excursions planned will lead to mutual knowledge, understanding of different ethnic groups, preservation and development of their cultural identity. By purchasing new and modern teaching aids, teaching materials, etc. the interest and desire to attend kindergarten by the children will be increased, because the educational process will be more attractive and educational content will be presented in an interactive and intriguing way.
