Together, we learn, play and be merry

Preschool education in the town of Tvarditsa includes yearly over 240 children at the age of 1 to 7. Over 190 of them are at the age of 3 to 7. These children are educated only in one kindergarten with two branches. Children of Romany origin are over 70 percents. The basic problems, concerning their education are connected with their insufficient level of acquiring Bulgarian language, lack of sufficient resources for conducting of effective intercultural education and inadequate commitment of Romanies parents in teaching process, especially preparatory groups. Besides, it's noticeable the tendency of differentiation of children, belonging to one and the same ethic origin in separate groups. The present project suggestion is oriented towards realization of a system of activities, aiming acquaintance of advantages of integrated instructive and educational interactions in the kindergarten, introducing new forms and methods of working, guarateeing sufficient attainment of Bulgarian language for children of ethnical minorities and their entire socialization. Target groups include 130 children from ethnical minorities at the age of 3 to 7 and about 70 parents. The main aim is providing an equal access to a quality preschool education of Romany children and supporting their early socialization. All the activities are directed to improving of educational environment in our groups which consist of Romanies, raising the quality of education and their results, working with parents from vulnerable families in order to provide the regular attendance of their children and encouraging these parents to take part in the instructive process . Expected results - successful integrated children of ethnical minorities to the groups in our kindergarten, involving parents in our educative work and creating of an atmosphere of mulual understanding, respect and tolerance between parents of different ethnical origin.
