"We will succeed together"

The project "We will succeed together", proposed by the Municipality of Berkovitsa in partnership with four kindergartens in the municipality and Association "Youth Organization - Patriotism", was developed in compliance with the procedure "Support for pre-school education and training of disadvantaged children" of OP SESG 2014-2020. The project will contribute to creating conditions for successful socialization of children from Roma origin by educational integration and enhancing the quality of education in kindergartens in the municipality. This project is a challenge that creates opportunities for achievement of integration effect by its implementation with the involvement of NGO, teaching and managerial staff of kindergartens and parents. The main project activities are focused on: further training in Bulgarian language for children for whom it is not their mother tongue; providing appropriate educational environment for the inclusion of Roma children in kindergartens outside Roma neighborhood; improvement of the educational environment in kindergartens outside the Roma neighborhood in the town Berkovitsa where integrated children from ethnic groups are educated; promoting communication and joint appearances between children of different ethnicities studying in separate kindergartens; activities aimed at conservation and development of the cultural identity of children from ethnic minorities and their peers in a multicultural integration environment. Another group of activities includes encouraging the participation of parents in the educational process, explaining the benefits of educational integration and acceptance of diversity, work with parents of Roma families who prevent their children subject to compulsory pre-school training from regular attendance at kindergarten. The implementation of the project will result in improved conditions for equal access to pre-school education and training of children from kindergartens in Berkovitsa Municipality.
