"We are all different but together for the future of our children"

The educational system in Bulgaria and particular in Kaspichan Municipality encounters serious problems in integrating the representatives of ethnic minority groups, especially Roma children. Despite the measures taken by the municipality, there are still problems such as dropping out of compulsory preschool, early / premature leaving the education system, insufficient knowledge of Bulgarian language, leading to poor learning outcomes in school, negative public perceptions of parents from ethnic minorities against the educational integration of their children. The project "We are all different but together for the future of our children" will help to eliminate or reduce some of the serious problems in the education system for the young children from ethnic minorities and / or marginalized groups and from families who are seeking or receiving international protection, the focus will be placed on mastering the Bulgarian language, socialization and intercultural education and the involvement of parents in the educational process. The current project will help for creation of suitable socio-psychological climate which favors the realization of educational integration of Roma and Turkish children, but also for the improvement of the educational environment. The project will allow parents from ethnic minorities to overcome their negative attitude towards the educational system, and will work to overcome the problems in learning Bulgarian language to make the education – attractive for each child included in the project.
