"Workshop for children's dreams"

The project will be implemented by Association "Resource Center for European cooperation" in partnership with the municipality of Pazardzhik and three kindergartens - "Veselka", kindergarten № 7 "Slancho" and "Zornitsa". General objectives of the project: 1. Improving the conditions for equal access to pre-school education at local level through the successful social integration of minority children in kindergartens; 2. Create conditions to support children from ethnic minorities and marginalized groups in society, to build as full citizens and to achieve social success and personal fulfillment; 3. Supporting the integration process through the attraction, retention and successful inclusion of Roma children in the education system and increase the ability to pass in the upper levels of education. The activities include: additional training in Bulgarian language and activities for preserving and developing the cultural identity of ethnic minority children, joint appearances between children of different ethnicities and kindergartens, work with parents, providing psychological support for children from ethnic minorities and activities overcoming negative public attitudes based on ethnic origin. The target group includes: • Children from ethnic minority groups; • Parents Planned results are: • To attract the interest of children from ethnic minorities and to give a chance to the ethnic communities to integrate into education. • Guaranteed right of equal access to quality education for children from ethnic minorities. • Creating conditions for social and personal development of Roma children, management of national and universal values and readiness to achieve intercultural exchange. • Improved dialogue between kindergarten parents and creating an atmosphere of sincerity and trust. • Changing public attitudes towards greater tolerance towards representatives of ethnic minority groups.
