I'm in, I'm here!

The project aims at creating the conditions for successful social realization of children and students from the ethnic minorities, as well as of those students in Primary School “St.Kliment Ohridski ” who are at risk of dropping out of the education system by improving the conditions for equal access to education and training, increasing the quality of education, strengthening the motivation of students and parents to participate in educational process, overcoming negative public attitudes in the local community. The project achieves its goal through the implementation of activities in several directions: 1. Providing opportunities, by conducting additional training in Bulgarian to develop language skills of children whose mother tongue is not Bulgarian to communicate adequately in school, to reach a level of proficiency commensurate with that of the other children. 2. Conducting additional activities with students considered at risk of dropping out of school and applying non-standard personal approaches to motivate, through specific and scientifically proved psycho-pedagogical analysis and planning of adequate steps to deal with them. 3. Preserving and developing the cultural identity of children and students from the ethnic minorities and their peers in a multicultural environment, integration by building up a creative environment in which the children of ethnic minorities could become aware of their identity, could feel important and part of school life. 4. Conducting campaigns to overcome negative public attitudes based on ethnic origin or cultural identity, in which students with different ethnic origin jointly implement activities to resolve the problems of the local community. It is expected that 85% of students from ethnic minorities participating in the project activities will integrate successfully with school community and in the long run will complete their primary education.
