We learn today to succeed tomorrow

The general goal is to increase the efficiency of the work on including and integrating students with different ethnical background on the territory of Stamboliyski municipality into the educational system, by applying a program for the improvement of the educational environment, preventing premature school dropout and motivating parents to participate in the educational process. Specific goals: -Improvement of the educational environment in the affiliate schools, through the establishment of adaptive educational forms for increasing the interests, abilities and talents of the students from ethnical minorities and conserving their cultural identities in the conditions of a tolerant intercultural environment. -A decrease in the number of children, which prematurely dropped out of school, by including them in activities, compensating for their gaps in the educational material’s assimilation. -Motivation of the parents and increasing their engagement towards the children’s education, as determinate conditions for their successful life and labor realization. Target groups: 160 students from ethnical minorities; 40 parents of students, endangered from premature dropout from the educational system. The presented goals will be achieved with implementation of the following activities: Organization and management of the project; Information and publicity; Additional teaching of Bulgarian language for students, whose birth language differs; Improvement of the educational environment of schools outside the Roma neighborhoods of the cities, in which students are educated integrally; Activities, directed to the conservation and development of the cultural identity for the students from ethnical minorities and their peers in an integrative multicultural environment; Work with parents from ethnical minorities, who prevent their children from regular participation in school classes; Overcoming of negative public attitudes, based on ethnical background and cultural identity.
