Innovative model for school integration of children from ethnic minorities

The project is presenting an innovative model for a multicultural environment for integration and retaining the pupils from ethnic minorities in school, while including five schools at the territory of Lyaskovets municipality and one school at Strajitsa municipality. The project idea is based on mobilization of various resources to support children and parents, providing the needed support, facing the problems of every child. An innovative element of the project is the establishment of a mobile multi-disciplinary team which will work on a daily basis with the target group of children and parents in all included schools, creation and functioning of ten Creativity Workshops, which will be occupied during the vacations, organizing and conducting events, related with the preservation of traditions and customs, activities for parents, organizing campaigns, outdoor trainings for children and parents. The project proposal will be implemented through the following activities: 1. Organization and management of the project for effective implementation – project team. 2. Establishment and functioning of a mobile multi-disciplinary team of specialists: psychologists, social workers, educational mediators. 3. Establishment and functioning of creativity workshops 4. Activation and empowerment of the parents. 5. Campaigns with parents and the local community to support the educational integration multi-ethnical environment. 6. “Together on a festival” - activities to preserve and strengthen the cultural identity of children and popularization of the roma culture and traditions. 7. Organizing activities and events to enhance the motivation to continue the education and acquiring skills for education in a multicultural environment, increasing the language skills, acquiring various social skills for adaptation in a new school environment, informing, consulting and transforming the education in a shared value. 8.
