Dream factory for children

The project activities that will be carried out are related to the creation of extra-curricular clubs and will contribute to mutual acquaintance and understanding ofpupils from different ethnic groups, for their upbringing in a spirit of tolerance and to preserve and develop their cultural identity in an integration multicultural environment. The project will be implemented over a period of 26 months from School "Dr Petar Beron" in partnership with the municipality of Svilengrad, the primary school "Ivan Vazov" and Sports Club "Izida-Svilengrad." The target group are 700 children and young people from the municipality, of which at least 140 of gypsy origin. Besides the activities clubs, a children's summer academy will be created for rationalization of children's free time during the summer holidays. The children will join the celebration of holidays and festive events by making cards, toys, paintings and more. Informational meetings will be conducted to address problems affecting early marriage, early childbirth and early school leaving among children from gypsy origins. Possibilities for continuing education for gypsies after the 7th and 12th grade will be also examined. The following items will be prepared to promote the project: flyers, T-shirts, pens and USB. During the whole project period, the project’s website and Facebook page of the partners will be updated with information related to the progress of the project.
