Together we’ll succeed II

The project proposal builds upon the results and achievements of our successfully completed project ‘Together we’ll succeed II’ funded by the Human Resources Operational Programme 2007-2013. The main project objective is to support the ethnic minority students in the school in developing themselves as fully contributing citizens, in achieving social and educational integration and creative realisation. In order to achieve this objective, we plan to open 16 groups for additional classes with 90 students of Roma origin; 4 sports clubs for 60 students, 20 of whom Roma; ‘Horovodets’ Club and ‘Vocal Studio’ Club for 30 students, 12 of whom Roma. We will conduct 2 excursions for 200 students, 70 of whom Roma; a Green School for 200 students, 70 of whom Roma and a Blue School for 150 students, 70 of whom Roma. We plan to deliver 100 hours of individual consultations to parents who prevent their children from attending school regularly; conduct a lecture series with parents from different ethnic backgrounds; and conduct an information campaign in order to overcome negative public attitudes based on ethnic origin and cultural identity.
