"Equal opportunities for our children through partnership and education in a multicultural environment"

The project aims to improve the educational integration of students from the ethnic minorities. This will be achieved by realization of activities, logically related, upgrading previous initiatives and whose joint implementation will realize greater additive effect and impact on target groups. The activities are selected so that to contribute to the realization of all four goals of the Strategy for Educational Integration of Children and students from the ethnic minorities (2015-2020). Emphasis is placed on the active work with parents of children from ethnic origin in order to adequately and their full inclusion in the educational life. We will also propagandize best practices and good examples by including realized in their career and life representatives of ethnic minorities to improve the attitude and tolerance towards the different in society. One of the main activities provides additional training in Bulgarian language for students for whom it is not their mother tongue. Classes will be held in varied environment with specially selected textbooks and materials without assessments to create acceptable for the students environment. It will be achieved prevention of dropping out of school for students for whom poor knowledge of the Bulgarian language and low literacy is a barrier to passing in the upper course. To ensure better socialization, self-esteem improvement and personal appearance are foreseed five schools of interests: folklore and roma dances, brass music, singing and music, and theater. By including students in these initiatives will work for achieving a better understanding of ethnic groups through knowledge of the culture and lifestyle in their creative environment. For better integration, socialization and realization of students from ethnic origin we foresee exported additional activities of interest in a multicultural environment.
