With Hope and Motivation towards Successful Realization

The following project proposal aims at fulfilling the need for socialization and integration of students from ethnic minorities and their parents, who do not realize the role of education as a prerequisite for a successful start in life. Its main purpose is to support students of different ethnic minorities to finish their upper-secondary school education, which will provide them with the opportunity for better career prospects and social status. The interaction with others and sharing their own impressions and achievements with their peers and people outside of their usual environment will motivate them towards future development and would help for their integration in society. The target group consists of students from ethnic minorities, incl. over 20 % of vulnerable families of Roma origins, which are in risk of dropping out of school based on language and cultural difficulties. The main activities, which will be performed in order to achieve the set goals are: - supporting students in the 12th grade from the target group in finishing their upper-secondary school education through supplementary classes; - motivating students to actively participate in their school’s life through sport activities; - overcoming cultural deficiencies via the involved students’ participation in a cultural club; - ensuring equal access for students from vulnerable families to upper-secondary education; - mutual familiarization among all students and their education in the spirit of tolerance towards others through school trips. - educational seminars for the preservation of cultural identities with students from the target group, parents and representatives of civil society; - psychological support for students and their families; - project organization and management; - informing and publicity; The expected result of the completed activities is to involve 100 students from ethnic minorities, of which 80 should achieve successful professional and social realization.
