Together for better

The project aims to create conditions for better integration of pupils and school students from ethnic minorities in the educational system of the Municipality of Sofia and their better social and professional realization by improving the educational environment, promoting active interaction between different ethnic groups and the involvement of parents and the public . The project will include pupils and school students at risk of exclusion and dropping out of the educational system, which will be provided with additional Bulgarian language classes. Together with other students they will be involved in various forms of club activities in the field of traditional crafts and folklore, culture and sports, career guidance tailored to the cultural identity of the children. This will create conditions for their inclusion, increase of discipline, responsibility and their interest to actively participate in the educational process. Extracurricular activities will help approximation of children from different ethnic groups and will promote empathy and cultural awareness as well as establishing friendly relations between them. Conducting studies and preparation of expert analyzes aimed at better "mapping" of the problems and needs of local ethnic groups and putting the appropriate measures for their socialization. Organizing meetings, discussions and information events on specific topics of integration are to overcome some negative public attitudes and engage a greater extent of parents and society to increase tolerance towards different ethnic groups and cultures. During the implementation of project will be implemented activities to promote the funding received under the Operational Programme "Science and education for smart growth" 2014-2020 as well as the achieved best practices and project results among stakeholders and among the general public.
