Access to quality education for children and students from marginalized communities, including Roma from the Konstantin Fotinov Primary School in the town of Lom and the Cyril and Methodius Primary School in the village of Zamfir

The project proposal is implemented by two partners:Konstantin Fotinov Primary School Lom,and Kiril i Metodiy Primary School,Zamfir village,on the territory of LAG Lom.The pedagogical specialists from both schools are looking for an answer to the question whether the quality education and the integration of children and students from marginalized groups,including Roma,can be carried out only within the traditional educational form-lesson.Through the implementation of the project we will prove that extracurricular activities based on compassion and sincerity, uncon ditional acceptance of the other,self-initiative and dedication are applicable in the Bulgarian educational system.The set and implemented innovative activities will confirm the intercultural perspective as an integral part of the educational integration of children and students from the Roma community.The innovative teaching methods and approaches that we will use in these activities in Bulgarian,sports and art will enable students to systematize learning, acquire lasting knowledge,make sense of free time and their social inclusion.This ensures the sustainability of the project results.The implementation of the project increases the opportunities for prevention of early school leaving, reduction of illitera cy,building social skills,empathy for the society of children from the target group on the territory of Lom in the implementation of SWOMR.Through joint initiatives,involvement of parents in the project and education in the spirit of tolerance,the deficit of communication between children is reduced and conditions for ethnic tolerance are created.The implementation of the project will lead to the achievement of the specific goal "Increasing the number of successfully integrated through the education system children and students from marginalized communities,including Roma from Priority Axis 3 of OPNOIR2014-2020, LAG Strategy in the field of education and MDP of Lom (2014-2020) Section "Education".
