WE DO AND WE CAN

The present project proposal envisages the development and the implementation of innovative practices in the Radomirche and 8th of March kindergartens on the basis of the Design thinking method. The project goals are to enhance the quality of the pre-school education, cultivate in the children a lasting interest in the educational process and implement preventive measures to reduce the number of children excluded from the educational system. The aforesaid will be achieved through the expertise and infrastructure capacity building in the kindergartens. An innovative methodological tool called “Design for Change” will be made, the local teachers will undergo trainings on the new method and didactic materials and equipment will be purchased. On that basis, Interest Clubs will be established where knowledge and skills will be developed through innovative practices aiming at mindset change from “CAN I?” to “I CAN!”. Activities with another target group – parents and guardians – will also be held. They will be involved in the educational and playing processes and will take part in coaching sessions, stimulating the creation of an environment encouraging the education. In order to promote communication and joint activities between children from marginalized and non-marginalized groups, open events with parents and other representatives of the target groups will take place during the school year and the summer holiday. The project will focus on children from minority ethnic groups. However, some of the costs will be distributed to representatives of non-marginalized groups in order to achieve a broader integration effect. The project will be implemented by the Radomirche Kindergarten (as Beneficiary) and 8th of March Kindergarten (as Partner 1) with the support of the Municipality of Radomir (as Partner 2) for the total amount of BGN 338 754,64 of which BGN 36 295,14 will be indirect costs.
