"School in action"

Tundzha municipality belongs to the marginalized rural regions and includes 44 village type settlements. There are 10 educational institutions in the municipality, 2 of which are primary and 8 are focal points. Sufficient conditions have been created for a day-to-day organization of the educational process. Specialized transportation for itinerant students is also provided. In charge of this project implementation is "St.St. Kiril i Metodi" Primary school of Veselinovo /214 children and students from the villages of Veselinovo, Chargan, Mogila and Zavoy/ in partnership with „V. Levski” Primary school of Zavoy /80 children and students/. The main purpose of the project is to support the social integration of children and students from marginalized groups by improving their access to a good quality education. The specific goals are to improve the quality of school education in small settlements, to ensure an equal access to it and to reduce the number of school dropouts and early school leaving at all. The project develops the socialization, integration and personal development of children and students from both schools. It aims to encourage parental and student activity and will fully provide an effective long-term mechanism for the complete integration of Roma students, parents, teachers and volunteers. This will lead to more effective integration into the education system of both schools, improved educational results and strengthened children’s individual skills and abilities. The project has been developed based on the main goals of Municipal strategy for the personal development of children and students in Tundzha Municipality 2019-2020, Regional strategy for Roma Integration 2012-2020 and Tundzha Municipality Plan according to it, Program and plan for educational integration of Ethnic Minority Students at "St.St. Kiril i Metodi" school of Veselinovo.
