TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE MORE

This project proposal addresses the needs of Kresna Municipality to enhance the quality of educational services and improve the access to education of children and students from marginalized groups, as well as to implement preventive measures to reduce the number of children excluded from the educational system. To that purpose, a Comprehensive Integrated Innovative Program for Mentoring and Integration of the Competence Approach (the Program) will be implemented in order to modernize the pedagogical instrumentarium and attract broad public support for the educational process, incl. the marginalized communities. The a.m. will be achieved through expert and infrastructure capacity building in the kindergarten in the initial project stage when, in accordance with the elaborated Program, the local teachers will be trained and new teaching materials will be purchased. On that basis, Interest Clubs will be established where the knowledge and the skills of the children will be developed through innovative practices – learning through play and creativity. Simultaneously, activities with another target group – parents and guardians – will be held. The primary aim of those activities will be to create, through the involvement of the adults in the educational and playing processes and through the conduct of coaching sessions, an environment encouraging the education. In order to mobilize public support and to overcome the negative public attitude towards marginalized groups, sports and eco camps will be held annually. Although the project will focus on children from minority ethnic groups and children with special educational needs, some costs will be distributed to children and parents representing non-marginalized groups in order to achieve a broader integration effect. The project will be implemented by the Municipality of Kresna (Beneficiary) and New Choice Association (Partner) for the total amount of BGN 176 143,97 over 2 school year (2021/22 and 2022/23).
