Teachers in action

The main goal of the project is to increase the professional competencies of 204 pedagogical specialists for effective work at multicultural environment in primary, secondary, high and vocational schools, by applying a comprehensive strategic and training approach. The project will be implemented by 9 partnering organizations - the Foundation "Educational Cooperation" and 8 schools from small settlements in the country with over 80% students of Roma and / or Turkish ethnic origin and similar problems and challenges. The objectives of the project will be realized through following activities: 1. Diagnosis of the situation in the multicultural environment in each school and specification of the content of the trainings under activity 2 and 3 and development of tools for sustainable and effective development in a multicultural environment 2. Organization of 45 short-term trainings for work at multicultural educational environment, ending with a certificate of qualification credits - on the following topics: Building practical skills for working at multicultural environment Emotional resilience of teachers when working at multicultural environment Competence model of teaching at multicultural environment 3. Organization of 41 short-term trainings for work at multicultural environment, not ending with a certificate of qualification credits - on the following topics: Game models for learning Bulgarian from children whose mother tongue is different from Bulgarian Motivational techniques for building and maintaining internal motivation when working at multicultural environment Coaching and professional guidance of students at risk of dropping out Creating and managing teams for joint problem solving at multicultural environment The project also includes activities for management and publicity of the results and envisages the observance of all principles for good and effective management of EU-funded projects, sustainability and horizontal principles.
