Working with children and students is a challenge for the teachers. Teachers have to be well prepared to deal with all the challenges they will encounter in their work. At a first glance, this is an easy task in a normal working environment, especially for teachers living in a multicultural regions who have many years of experience working with children from different ethnic groups. The project will increase the capacity and provide successful practices for each teacher, so that they in turn can easily and efficiently meet the needs of children and students, such as increasing motivation to learn and improving of their results, supporting their cultural identity, creating an appropriate sociology-psychological climate in school and society. During the preparation of the proposal, the partners have held online discussions on the weaknesses and possible solutions to address these issues. They, as common as they are for all, are also specifically determined given the ethnicity, social status of children and students, age differences, the degree of interaction at school-family level, the level of participation of the local community, the level of readiness of pedagogical specialists to work in a multicultural environment, the presence or complete absence of educational mediators, etc. The review of all these indicators and of the existing documents for work in a multicultural environment gave the directions for the development of the proposal, namely: to identify the needs of the partners for improving the work in a multicultural environment; to prepare a plan and to conduct trainings for work in such environment; to study the need for educational mediators and to prepare such, and where there are present mediators, to analyze their activities and contribution to the work in a multicultural environment.
